Winter concert

The Palmerton Area Junior High and High School chorus ensembles and bands will present their Winter Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday. Admission is free.

Ugly sweater party

An Ugly Sweater Party will be hosted by Soundwave Productions at the Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Co., 259 Lime St., Bowmanstown from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday. This event is open to the public. There will be cash prizes and drink specials.

Breakfast buffet

An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club 525 Club Road, Palmerton. Buffet items include eggs to order, pancakes, SOS, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, hash, toast, and cereal. Also orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, and cocoa.

Book club

Third Monday book club meets the third Monday of each month from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Palmerton Area Library and discusses a different book each month. New members are always welcome. The Dec. 17 book will be “How Green Was My Valley” by Richard Llewellyn. Call the library at 610-826-3424 for information.

Library board

The Palmerton Area Library Board of Directors will meet at 4 p.m. Dec. 19. Meetings are open to the public.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville will hold worship services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Sunday school Christmas program “The Newest Angel” will be held at the 10:30 a.m. service.
