Craft & vendor show
A Country Christmas Craft & Vendor Show will be held at Mrs. Bush’s Personal Care Home, 302 Kunkletown Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will also be homemade baked goods and soups to enjoy or take out.
Book sale & auction
Now through Christmas Eve, come to the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave. Purchase a new book bag for $5 and fill it free one time with any items from the basement book sale. New items arrive daily. You also have until Dec. 7 to participate in the auction of handcrafted items at the library. All proceeds benefit the library. Tickets are 3 for $1. Jerusalem UCC
Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville, holds worship services on Sunday morning at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to visit and worship with them. The 9 a.m. service is a contemporary service with God’s House Band. The 10:30 a.m. service is a traditional service. Members are reminded to meet at 10 a.m. on Dec. 1 to decorate the sanctuary for Christmas. The Hat and Mitten Tree is ready for donations of hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and socks. The deadline to place the items on the tree is Dec. 9. All items will be given to the Eldred Community Center for needy children and adults.
Knitting club
The knitting club will meet at the Palmerton Area Library from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3. The club is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting of all skill levels.
Blue Mountain Fiber Guild
The Blue Mountain Fiber Guild will meet at the Palmerton Area Library at 7 p.m. Dec. 4. This group explores all things related to fiber arts: spinning, weaving, etc.
Basket social
A basket social and bake sale will be held at the Palmerton Ambulance Building from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1. The event is being held to raise money for the family of Jeremy Behler and Kaylee Mullen, who were killed in a tragic accident. Money raised will go to their son who was left behind. Compassionate Friends
Compassionate Friends will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Palmerton Ambulance Building, 501 Delaware Ave. The group is to support family after the death of a child, grandchild or sibling. Please attend if you feel the need.
Breakfast with Santa
Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Parryville Volunteer Fire Co. 2, 359 Main St. Platter choices include pancakes, French toast, SOS, eggs, omelets, or their famous Firehouse Mess. Choice of bacon, ham, sausage or scrapple, homefries, juice and coffee. Large and small platters are available. Santa will arrive at 9 a.m. via firetruck to greet the children. Bring your own camera for pictures.
Lehigh Gap Nature Center
The Lehigh Gap Nature Center in Slatington will be holding a holiday open house at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Come explore nature in the winter. Holiday crafts will be available.
