November 28, 1963 — Roger Lipics connects with Roger Paulas for both a touchdown and the extra point to lift Palmerton to a Thanksgiving Day 7-6 Lehigh Valley League victory over rival Slatington. On the first drive of the second half, Lipics runs for five yards and tosses a 6-yard pass to Paulas before the pair hook up for a 54-yard scoring strike. Lipics finishes 7-of-10 for 102 yards passing for the Bombers, coached by Jim Nonnemaker. The Bulldogs’ tally comes on a 2-yard run by Ron Henry.
