A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of attempted homicide and related counts, while a second person is being sought, following a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday.
Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to the 100 block of Stillwater Drive in Pocono Summit at 4:26 p.m. to a report of a shooting. On scene officers made contact with the adult male victim who said that two individuals had just shot at him and took off in a white pickup. Several bullet holes were discovered through the victim’s door.
Through an investigation, police were able to identify one of the suspects as Deanna Brunner, 31, of the 6000 block of Whales Court, East Stroudsburg. Police sent out an alert for Brunner, and she was later picked up by state police at the Lehighton barracks.
In addition to the attempted homicide charge, she is also facing counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment. She is currently an inmate in the county prison in Snydersville, unable to post bail.
