November 24, 1977 — Steve Hluschak scores a pair of touchdowns to help Slatington’s alumni team turn back graduates of Palmerton by a 24-12 score. Hluschak reaches the end zone on a 3-yard run in the second quarter to snap a tie and give the Bulldogs the lead for good. The TD is set up by a 30-yard pass from John Overdorf to Larry Parry. Hluschak tosses a 33-yard pass to Parry on a fake punt, which leads to his 1-yard tally in the fourth frame. Overdorf adds a 4-yard TD run for the winners, while Bill Rettew also scores from eight yards out.
