Krcic, Nase on PSAC East All-Star Team

Two former Times News area football players were recently selected to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division All-Conference Team.

Dean Krcic, a graduate of Pleasant Valley, was named the Easter Division First Team punter. The redshirt sophomore at Kutztown University earned his second straight All-PSAC selection.

Krcic’s 42.7 yards per punt during the regular season was tops in the conference and his 10 punts of 50-plus yards ranks second. The Saylorsburg native has started all 21 games since arriving on campus, earning First Team honors after his Second Team selection in 2017.

Richard Nase, a graduate of Panther Valley, was named to the Eastern Division Second Team as a defensive lineman. The redshirt senior at Shippensburg University became the first Red Raider to earn All-PSAC awards in all four of his seasons since current NFL All-Pro defensive back Brent Grimes did it from 2002-05.

Nase ranked third on the team in TFLs (11.0) and sacks (6.0) while slotting fifth among Red Raiders in total tackles (45). He contributed to at least one sack in six games and at least one TFL in the final 10 games of the season. Nase graduates second all-time at Shippensburg in career sacks (29.0) and tied with his head coach, Mark Maciejewski, for third in career TFLs (51.0).
