On Nov. 24, Santa will be arriving in true Blue Ridge Mountain style when he rides into a crowd of his adoring fans on a ski lift at Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton to kick off the holiday season courtesy of the West End Food Pantry.

“The base area of Blue will be turned into a fun and free festival for all,” said pantry executive director Karena Thek. “There will be games, ski lift and train rides for everyone, as well as free hot dogs, Christmas cookies and hot chocolate.”

Thek says that this year they are adding s’mores fire pits as well.

Santa will be joined by Mrs. Claus, Rudolph the Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and the Grinch.

This event is open to the public and free to all.

“If we are lucky there might even be a bit of snow to play in,” Thek added. “Come as you are and without a dime. Join us and create magical memories.”

The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. with Santa arriving at 1:30 p.m. Blue Mountain Resort is located at 1660 Blue Mountain Drive, Palmerton, PA 18071.
