A Northampton County man was caught in the act of burglarizing a Monroe County residence.

State police at Lehighton said troopers responded to a home in the 100 block of Creek Road in Polk Township at 4:57 p.m. on Sunday to a burglary in progress. On scene troopers found Ryan Michael Snyder, 27, of Danielsville, inside the home. He was taken into custody.

Troopers said Snyder was charged with burglary and related counts.
