The American Red Cross is taking appointment requests for free smoke alarm installations in Chestnuthill Township.

The appointments will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 15 and will include parts of Brodheadsville, Effort and Gilbert.

Call 570-234-2705 to make an appointment. The Red Cross will install free, 10-year lithium battery powered smoke alarms in homes.
