Nearly 1,200 workers for Pencor Services Inc. received a surprise in the mail this week. In time for the Christmas shopping season, the Pencor Services Inc. Board of Directors issued one-time bonus checks to both full-time and part-time workers.

“Benefits from Federal Tax reform legislation is helping to make 2018 a prosperous year. We wanted to share that success with our dedicated co-workers,” said Fred A. Reinhard, chairman of the board.

Pencor paid bonuses to employees at all of its subsidiaries, including Blue Ridge Communications, PenTeleData, The Times News, Palmerton Telephone Company and Penn’s Peak.

Additionally, Blue Ridge Communications increased the starting and regular salaries in its customer care department earlier this year.

In addition to supporting its employees, tax reform has allowed Pencor to invest in its community.

Pencor Services was started in 1951 to provide an innovative technology service to its community. Pencor carries that tradition on today by staying on the cutting edge of technology, while also providing other services to its community.
