The Washery System in Tamaqua will be giving free car washes on Nov. 11 for veterans and military personnel for Veterans Day.
This is a national program sponsored by Grace for Vets. The program has given over 2 million car washes to date.
No proof is required of veterans or personnel status.
Grace for Vets believes the program should follow one of the guiding principles for a veteran: honor.
The program Grace for Vets was started by a car wash owner who was a veteran and wanted to help his fellow brothers in any way he could.
The program has given 1.2 million car washes to date.
The Washery System is on its second year as a sponsor of Grace for Vets.
“The owner is actually a vet of the Iraq War,” said Todd Harper, manager at the Washery System.
“The program is to honor vets in every way we can.”
The car wash is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Veterans Day and is located at 200 Cedar St., Tamaqua.
