A Parryville man left the scene of a crash at 11:38 a.m. Oct. 21 on South Fireline Road in Parryville, state police at Lehighton said.

Police said Lloyd R. Heckman, 42, was driving a 1997 Saturn when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the road and drove off the shoulder of the road, striking a tree with its passenger side front-end. After striking the tree, the vehicle struck shrubbery and a ditch before coming to a final stop.

Police said Heckman fled the scene and will be cited in district court.

The vehicle was towed from the site.

Police said Heckman was also cited in the incident.
