Benefit dinner
A dinner to benefit Music in the Park in Lansford will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Election Day at the Lansford American Legion, 3 W. Ridge St., Lansford. Dinner will include pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, vegetable, coffee and dessert for $10. Eat in or take out.
Woman’s Club
Members of Nesquehoning Woman’s Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday in the social rooms of Zion Lutheran Church, 2 E. Catawissa St. The program will be presented by Mark Balas from Valor Clinic. President Jennifer Drake will preside. Barbara Priadka and Ayn Lynn Malkin are the meeting hostesses and will provide refreshments.

Library story hour
Panther Valley Public Library will hold preschool story hour at 10 a.m. every Tuesday through Dec. 18. Children ages 3-5 are invited to join us for a story, craft and snack. This program is free.

Medicare
The Panther Valley Public Library will be providing assistance to seniors during open enrollment for Medicare.
You may be able to save money on your Medicare and prescription drug costs. We suggest you review your plan each year and we can help you. We will be offering this service at the library 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov 14 and Nov 28.
Appointments must be scheduled through the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging. To schedule an appointment please call 800-441-1315.
