Lehighton state police
State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:
• Jessica Lyzenga, of Effort, has been arrested by state police with criminal trespass stemming from an incident whereby she attempted to gain access to her ex-boyfriend’s residence without authorization. Police said the victim, of Kunkletown, reported at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday that the woman trespassed onto his property in the 100 block of Scenic Drive, Polk Township, without authorization.
• Kyle Rappold, 19, of Palmerton, was arrested on a charge of simple assault after state police responded to a domestic altercation at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 12 along Horseshoe Drive in Towamensing Township. The victim is a 23-year-old woman from Palmerton.
• Mark Locke, 36, of Weissport, is facing a charge of criminal mischief as a result of an incident at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 9 in the 300 block of Bridge Street, Weissport. The victim, a 30-year-old Weissport man, told police Locke smashed the glass door of his residence, causing $50 in damages.
• State police are investigating a case where a 12-year-old has been receiving sexual texts via Snapchat. Police said the incidents were reported to them on Oct. 22. They occurred along Sheller Hill Road in Polk Township.
• Christina Lynn Philhower, 38, of the 100 block of James Lane, Kunkletown, was cited for harassment after a domestic disturbance in which state police were summoned at 9:03 p.m. Sept. 24. It is alleged she struck the victim, a 39 year-old man, in the face with an open hand.
• State police are investigating a simple assault incident in which a 52-year-old Kunkletown woman was assaulted by a male suspect. It happened at 8 a.m. Sept. 20 in the 200 block of AFD Lane, Polk Township.
• State police said a home along Murphy Lane in Polk Township was egged by vandals. The damage was reported at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 4 by a 50-year-old Kunkletown man. It is estimated it will cost about $150 to clean up the residence, police said.
• When state police responded to a drug overdose incident at 2:51 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 4000 block of Fireline Road, Lower Towamensing Township, they found a 35-year-old Lansford woman who was there had an active bench warrant out of New Jersey for her arrest. She was taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Eric Schrantz of Jim Thorpe, before being lodged in the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning. Her name was not released.
