Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Tuesday: Women’s Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.

Wednesday: Prayer meeting, prayer devotional and singing, 7-8 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry.

Looking ahead:

• Bare Necessities Pantry: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 27, St. Peter’s Community Resource Center, Main Road, Franklin Township.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St. holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; Contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; Fellowship following service.

Tuesday: Adult Bible Study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Ephesians.

Oct. 31: Harvest Fest from 6-8 p.m. Games and candy for children.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Trinity happenings

Sunday worship with Festival Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free wafers are available at both times for those with allergy issues. Included during worship will be First Holy Communion administered to sixth-grade students. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Rich Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship is at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m.

For those wishing to seek membership at Trinity, Pastor Moore will provide information Sunday at 1 p.m. Appointments may be arranged for those wishing to arrange a baptismal date. Contact the church office at 610-377-4303.

Trinity’s former vicar from 2016-17, Lauren Heywood, will be installed as pastor at St. David’s Lutheran Church, 9169 Academy Road, Philadelphia, at a worship service celebration Nov. 4. A chartered bus will depart Lehighton at 12:30 p.m., returning near 7 p.m. Limited seats are available. Contact the church office during business hours for more information.
