Susan and Gary Shinsky of Palmerton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 28, 1968 by the Rev. Leo Houseknecht at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palmerton.

Mrs. Shinsky is the former Susan Malik, daughter of the late Agnes (Malik) Klutsarits and Alfred Klutsarits, and Peter Malik. Her husband is the son of the late Stephen and Marie Shinsky.

They have two children, Travis and Jennifer, and three grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler and Dylan.

A celebration was held in honor of the couple at the Aquashicola Fire Company, hosted by their children and attended by family and friends.
