Mikovich passes 1,000 career kills at Wilkes University

Panther Valley graduate Jamey Mikovich of Nesquehoning surpassed the 1,000 career kill mark on Thursday night as the Wilkes University women’s volleyball team swept Bryn Athyn College, 25-9, 25-19, 25-15 in non-conference action.

Mikovich led the Wilkes offense with 16 kills and a .600 hitting percentage in the match. She also added a team high seven digs.

Wilkes finished the match with a season high .341 team hitting percentage to improve its overall record to 17-10.

For the season, Mikovich leads the Colonels in kills (370), kills per set (4.16), kill percentage (.271) and blocks (56). She is second on the team in aces (35) and digs (332).
