A Lansford woman is facing charges after she brought fentanyl and meth into the Carbon County Correctional Facility.

Charmain Alyssa Fuller, 30, of West Patterson Street, was charged by Nesquehoning police after the Sept. 7 incident.

According to an affidavit filed by officer Timothy Wuttke, he was called to the jail after correctional officers discovered drugs in an inmate cell during a routine check.

Fuller had been brought into the prison earlier that day by Lansford police on drug-related charges.

The prison told Wuttke that Fuller was on a watch, which required officers to check on her every 15 minutes. During one of these checks, the guard asked Fuller to stand up and when she did a baggie fell from under the smock she was wearing.

At the time, Fuller denied any knowledge of the bag. Three packets of fentanyl and meth were discovered in Fuller’s possession.

When Wuttke spoke with Fuller, she admitted inserting the baggie of drugs inside herself the night before and that it must have fallen out when she was laying down.

Fuller faces charges of contraband, possession of a controlled substance as an inmate, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in this case.
