Lehighton state police

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents:

• Police said a person wanted on an outstanding warrant was taken into custody by the Lehigh County Sheriff’s Office at 10:01 a.m. Oct. 12 in the unit block of Bowmans Road, East Penn Township. Troopers were called to the scene after the person was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed pending results of the analysis of the substances.

• Police are investigating a scattering rubbish incident that was reported to them at 2:53 p.m. Oct. 12. A 60-year-old man from Nazareth reported the incident took place on property he owns along LaMontage Drive in Towamensing Township, where assorted trash, empty buckets and an empty propane tank were scattered.

• A Penn Forest Township couple reported to state police that they believe their camper was being used as a place for living quarters during night hours.

Police received the complaint at 1:58 p.m. Oct. 3 when a 53-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe told officers they believe the camper was being used while it is located along Blackberry Lane in the township.
