Bomber band bingo

Help support their trip to Disney. A bingo featuring Michael Kors Coach purses will be held Oct. 28 at the Towamensing Fire Company, 105 Firehouse Road, Palmerton (Trachsville). Doors open at noon, bingo starts at 1:30 p.m. For tickets call Gretchen at 610-392-9518, or Don at 610-377-3533, or Elise at 610-681-6741. this event is sponsored by PMPA and proceeds will benefit music students of the Palmerton Area School District.

Halloween party

A Halloween party will be held at the Sokol Hall, 452 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 27. Doors open at 6 p.m. Come in costume. The event is hosted by Band of Brothers (classic rock). Prizes will be awarded for best costume. Advance tickets may be purchased at Jan’s Barber Shop and the Sokol Hall.

Breakfast

An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton. Menu items include eggs to order, pancakes, SOS, potatoes, cereal, hash, ham, bacon, sausage, OJ, milk, coffee and tea. Wing, taco and clam specials are every Wednesday night from 5-8 p.m. Dinner is served from 4-8 p.m. every Friday.

Fall basket social

A basket social will be hosted by the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville, 500 Church Drive. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There will be theme baskets, raffle, bake sale, refreshments, plus homemade chow chow and apple butter by the pint or quart. Door prizes will be awarded at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Three baskets will have $25 hidden among the contents. Come for lunch and try your luck. For information, please call 610-681-5200.

The church is also holding a Thanksgiving filling sale. Orders are due Nov. 11. Pick up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 20, or from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 21.

Church bazaar

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton will hold its annual church bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There will be crafts, jewelry, white elephant sale, raffle ticket, lunch bag raffle (Chinese auction). A bake sale will include (while they last) their famous molasses tongue cookies and apple dumplings. There will be food available for purchase.

First UCC

Sunday is Palmerton’s Halloween Parade. First United Church of Christ, Delaware Avenue, will be selling food, goodies and treats during the parade. Barbecue, baked goods, drinks, etc.

Community meal

A free community meal will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 25. Come out and enjoy a free meal and fellowship.
