Mahoning Township Supervisors

The Mahoning Township Supervisors conducted the following business this week:

• Zoning officer Carl Faust said 443 Auto Sales had applied for a sign permit and later changed the type of sign so he revoked the permit.

The new permit for that sign according to Faust needs to come in front of the zoning board for approval.

The board agreed that 443 Auto Sales need to come before the zoning board moving forward for the electric sign.

• The Cooperation Agreement contract was discussed, and the board agreed that solicitor Thomas Nanovic would refine it and tailor it better to the township.

• The language of Resolution 2018-15, establishing the criteria for fire and ambulance to qualify for tax credits under the volunteer service, created confusion and was clarified at length before it passed by motion of supervisor Bruce Steigerwalt and seconded by supervisor Robert Slaw.
