The Palmerton boys soccer and Pleasant Valley volleyball teams picked up victories on Friday.

BOYS SOCCER

Catasauqua-Palmerton

Nic Singleton powered Palmerton to a 2-1 Colonial League win over Catasauqua.

Singleton paced the Bombers with two goals, while Josh Long was credited with an assist.

Damian DiPaolo scored for the Roughs.

VOLLEYBALL

PM West-Pleasant Vy.

Pleasant Valley swept Pocono Mountain West 25-20, 25-11, 25-10 in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference match.

Desi Powell had 21 kills, nine digs, two aces and one block for the Bears (11-8-2, 7-5). Cameron Caffrey added 18 assists and four digs, and Ari Thourot contributed 14 assists, three digs, two aces, two blocks and one kill.

FIELD HOCKEY

Pleasant Vy.-Bangor

Bangor picked up a 6-1 non-league win over Pleasant Valley.

Mylaina Schippers and Carly Amerman scored twice for the Slaters, who improved to 12-1 overall and 10-1 in the Colonial League. Montana Ott recorded two assists.
