State police at Lehighton reported on two crashes investigated by troopers, both occurring on Monday.
A two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:58 p.m. along Interchange Road (Route 209), in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.
Troopers said a 2015 Honda Accord operated by Jesslynn S. McCauley, 27, of Lehighton, and a 2016 Buick Encore driven by Gail Fleming, 74, of Effort, were involved in the crash. No details of how the crash occurred were released by troopers. Fleming sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Lehighton hospital by Lehighton ambulance.
Troopers cited McCauley for following too closely.
The second crash was reported at 6:32 p.m. along Montage Avenue in Lower Towamensing Township.
Nathan T. Serfass, 31, of Palmerton, was driving a 2000 Dodge Viper westbound when the vehicle left the road and collided into a tree along the north berm. The Viper came to rest along a wood line on its roof.
Serfass was injured and taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. The vehicle had to be towed.
