An Uber driver has been charged with furnishing alcohol to minors.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were conducting a liquor enforcement detail on Aug. 24 at 9:40 p.m. when they observed a man enter the Wine and Spirits store in Mount Pocono. The man was later identified as Darryl Normil, 31, of Pocono Summit. He purchased a bottle of Barcardi rum and gave it to four women waiting outside.
The investigation revealed that Normil was an Uber driver for the women and was offered a $30 tip in exchange for the liquor purchase.
Normil was charged with furnishing liquor to minors. The women involved were identified as Shania Fattnet, 19, of Albans, New York; Gabriel Galette, 19, of Brooklyn, New York; Keanna Henry, 20, of Cambria Heights, New York; and a 17-year-old from Brooklyn. All were charged with underage consumption and possession of liquor.
