State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks have reported on the following incidents:
• Someone dumped miscellaneous building materials on property in the 100 block of Kunkletown Road, Eldred Township. The victim is a 47-year-old Saylorsburg man, who reported that between noon Sept. 22 and 9 a.m. Sept. 27, someone dumped three separate loads of the refuse on his property before fleeing the scene undetected. Police said the suspect is believed to have used a dump truck to scatter the rubbish.
• State police were summoned to St. Luke’s Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton, at 8 p.m. Sept. 27 for a domestic-type of incident, but police said the victim, a 35-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe, was not willing to cooperate with them and told officers she did not want to press charges. Police said the woman told them her ex-boyfriend pushed her up against a countertop in an incident along Fairyland Road in Franklin Township.
• State police are investigating a theft by deception incident in which a 47-year-old man from Albrightsville is the victim. Police said he purchased a generator through an eBay website, paying $106 for it, and never received the generator. The purchased was made at 11:14 a.m. Sept. 24 at his residence along Tapuco Drive in Penn Forest Township.
• State police are investigating a criminal mischief incident whereby someone cut down an oak tree on a property in Towamensing Township sometime between 5 and 9:50 p.m. Sept. 28 at in the 200 block of Station Street in the township. The victim, a 48-year-old Lehighton man, said someone entered his property and took down the tree that was next to the driveway.
• Police are investigating the theft of a cellphone that took place on Towamensing Township. The victim, a 27-year-old man from Renton, Washington, told officers at 6:18 p.m. Sept. 10 that someone stole the phone from a location in the 9000 block of Interchange Road. The victim told police it is believed a neighbor took the phone from a purse.
• Samantha Hall, 24, of Easton, has been arrested by state police for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 12:31 a.m. Sept. 29 on Weir Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township. Police said she was stopped for Title 75 violations and during the traffic stop, officers uncovered the drug paraphernalia.
