Mr. and Mrs. Lee Oswald Sr. of Slatington celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 21.

Mrs. Oswald is the former Lorraine Kocher of Egypt. They were married by the Rev. Sell in Mickley’s United Church in Whitehall.

They are the parents of three children: Donna, wife of John Sharbaugh of Lehighton, Lee Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Northampton, and Laurel, wife of Barry Williams of Zionsville.

They also have four grandsons, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

They were honored with a picnic at the home of their older daughter on Aug. 18.
