A 13-year-old girl was hit by a car near Pleasant Valley High School Thursday night and suffered minor injuries, according to state police.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, state police said in a news release.

State police said the victim did not see the vehicle and ran into its path.

The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Pocono with what police described as suspected minor injuries to her leg and head.
