Build a Martin I-18 reproduction 1928 guitar in a class, “Acoustic Guitar Building,” at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at Northampton Community College’s Fab Lab at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third Street, Bethlehem.

Geared to beginners and required for students in the Luthier certification program, the class covers the essentials of building a guitar from machined parts, achieving a robust tone and testing the instrument. No woodworking experience is needed, but enrollment in “Woodworking Basics” is recommended.

The fee, which includes all materials except for the finish, is $1,275.
