In a display window of the Mauch Chunk Post Office is exhibited a fine specimen of artistic handiwork of William, son of Edward Miller, Second Ward, Mauch Chunk. It represents a floral design, with the U.S. emblems and shields, the whole made of canceled stamps to the number of 1,607, representing a value of $31.88.
The colors blend perfectly and there isn’t a trace of imperfection in the delicate connections throughout. It stamps the youth as a genius, a boy who employs his time and talent to good advantage. The picture is attracting a great deal of admiration and commendation.
