The Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission is hosting its fifth annual recovery walk from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 12 in the Lehighton Grove, South Seventh and Iron streets.
The free event, which aims to prove that recovery is possible, will be held rain or shine, and participants are encouraged to bring a chair.
There will be vendors, food, entertainment, T-shirts and a butterfly release, as well as speakers.
The event is open to anyone.
