Last October Weatherly hosted Pennsylvania’s first cabbage festival, and it was a huge success.

The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce who sponsors the event was so pleased with its instant success that the Weatherly Cabbage Festival is having a second run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 13. in Eurana Park, Weatherly.

The Weatherly Cabbage Festival Committee is reaching out to all who may wish to have a stand at this year’s event. Free table space is available to organizations that desire to fundraise, recruit members, or just share information.

While most food will center on cabbage, other types of food are more than welcome.

All area nonprofits are welcome to set up a stand at no charge. A $50 deposit is required but will be returned when you arrive.

The committee is also looking for people who want to be in the Weatherly Cabbage Festival Parade.
