Woman’s club

Nesquehoning Woman’s Club will hold their opening dinner meeting on Sept. 10 at Bonnie and Clyde’s restaurant in Lehighton beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner will be ordered off the menu that night.

Club members should make a reservation with Madeline Ligenza, 610-392-0829. Reservation deadline is Sept. 4.

New members are welcome. You do not need to reside in Nesquehoning to join the club.

Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Sept. 3-7 is as follows:

Monday: Center closed for Labor Day

Tuesday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, cauliflower and peas and fresh melon or vegetable wrap

Wednesday: Baked fish, mac & cheese, stewed tomatoes, broccoli and pudding or Italian sandwich

Thursday: Lemon chicken, orzo, roasted vegetables and chocolate pudding or meatloaf sandwich

Friday: Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, zucchini and an orange or Cuban sandwich

The Panther Valley Senior Center also announces upcoming events for Sept. 3-14.

Center closed Sept. 3; There will be a speaker from PPL on Sept. 4 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m.; Family Feud on Sept. 6 at 11 a.m.; Scattergories on Sept. 7 at 11 a.m.

Nickel-keeno on Sept. 10 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Sept. 11 starting at 9 a.m. followed by Cornhole at 11 a.m.; Birthday and Bingo on Sept. 12 at 11 a.m.; Poker-Keeno on Sept. 13 at 11 a.m.; Ping Pong, Darts, Shuffleboard, and Cornhole on Sept. 14 starting at 10 a.m.
