A Carbon County driver was part of a four-vehicle crash that occurred on Aug. 16 along Brookside Road in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville provided the following information on the crash. Troopers said a 16-year-old girl from Emmaus was operating a 2008 Jeep Wrangler northbound at 5:39 p.m. and did not slow down for stopped traffic ahead of her. Her Jeep struck the rear of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata driven by Carolyn Y. Lansenderfer, 56, of Lehighton, pushing it into the rear of a 2014 Subaru driven by Laura G. Stewart, 33, of Hellertown, which in turn was pushed into a 2019 Subaru operated by Brendan D. Harries, 43, of Macungie.

Lansenderfer reported minor injuries but refused medical treatment. There were no other injuries reported. The Hyundai had to be towed.

The teen driver was cited for following too closely.
