State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle that was reported at 8:38 a.m. Aug. 12 in Towamensing Township.

The victim, a 63-year-old Ashfield man, reported someone stole his four-door, 2012 silver-colored Chevrolet Sonic hatchback from the 600 block of Blue Mountain Drive.

The vehicle bears the PA registration plate GLK-9090.
