State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents:

• Krystyna Kakol, 39, of Ashland, is facing charges of forgery and attempted theft as a result of an incident at noon July 1 in the 1000 block of Pine Street in Ashland. State police said the victim is a 36-year-old Ringtown man. Police said Kakol obtained a check owned by the victim and filled it out for $1,100, then signing his name, attempted to use the check to pay her rent.

• State police reported the arrest of a Hazleton resident in a domestic assault incident. Troopers said the incident occurred on Sunday around 4:30 p.m. along Cove Lane in Cove Village development in Zion Grove, North Union Township. Police said Chad Uca, 27, allegedly hit a 26-year-old woman at that address in the forehead. A charge of harassment will be filed against Uca.
