A vehicle stop in Monroe County led to drug charges against the driver.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Henry Matos-Batista, 36, of the 900 block of Southern Boulevard, Bronx, New York, was stopped along Route 940 at 1:04 a.m. on July 11 for traffic violations. At the stop, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A consent search was made of the vehicle and a medium sized zip-lock bag containing raw marijuana was found.

Matos-Batista was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
