Coroner: Head-on crash kills both drivers in Scranton

SCRANTON (AP) — A coroner says a head-on crash in northeastern Pennsylvania killed the drivers of both vehicles.

The (Scranton) Times-Tribune reports that the crash in Scranton was reported shortly before midnight Friday.

The Lackawanna County coroner’s office said 24-year-old Matthew Davis of Newton Township and 29-year-old Matthew Pisanchyn of South Abington Township were killed.

Coroner Tim Rowland said both were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles. Scranton police are investigating the crash.
