Free concert

You are invited to a free concert by Lost & Found, a local country gospel quartet featuring Joe Solt, Dayle Smith, Lafayette Schoberger and Rick Green from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at St. John’s UCC, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton. It will be held outdoors in the church parking lot; inside if it rains. A freewill offering will be taken. There will be free refreshments, roller grilled hot dogs, homemade mac & cheese, desserts and beverages. Bring your own lawn chair, and bring your friends.

Old Timer’s Day

The Palmerton pool will recognize the “older” swimmers of the pool on Old Timer’s Day, beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday. They will be honored with older music, birch beer and hot dogs, guessing games and more.

Holy Trinity news

Worship at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton on Sunday will be a healing service. Worship is at 10:15 a.m.

The Thrift Shop at Holy Trinity is open Tuesday’s from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Gaming Grotto

The Gaming Grotto will be held at the Fire Escape Coffee House, 312 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, at 7 p.m. Friday. Come to this great family-friendly event. Enjoy the food, the people, and play some games including board games and video games.

Art and photo show

A student art and photo show will be held at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, from 1-3 p.m. Aug. 11. This is for students ages 6-18. It is free to enter and free to attend the show. There will be prizes and snacks. Call the library at 610-826-3424 for information.

Park concert

New Individuals, an oldies group, will perform Sunday in the Palmerton Borough Park Bandstand at 7 p.m. This concert is sponsored by Horsehead Community Development Fund. Please bring a lawn chair. In case of bad weather, concerts will be canceled with no rain date. There is no alcohol or smoking permitted in the park.

Pace-Makers

A Pace-Makers Association Cruise Night will be held in the Palmerton Borough Park from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 Come meet the members and talk cars.

Movie in the Park

The Concourse Club of Palmerton & Raising the House Foundation would like to invite the community to the fourth annual Movie in the Park. Come for a free viewing of “Coco” on a giant, inflatable screen. Come at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to the Palmerton Borough Park. Bring along a blanket or chairs to sit on, as well as snacks and drinks to enjoy. All park rules apply, including no pets, smoking or alcohol. Raindate is Aug. 2.

First UCC

The members of First United Church of Christ are invited to join the members of St. Paul’s UCC of Indianland at their annual picnic which will be held at Indian Trail Park at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The day will begin with worship under the pavilion and a time of fellowship and food. Please plan to bring a covered dish, dessert, bingo prize and cake walk item if you are able. St. Paul’s will be providing barbecue, drinks and paper products. Bring your lawn chairs.
