Glen Onoko rescue successful after 3 hours

A rescue operation has ended as firefighters from Nesquehoning and Lehighton, as well as Nesquehonong ambulance personnel, using all terrain vehicles brought an injured woman to safety after a three-hour ordeal at Glen Onoko Falls in Jim Thorpe.

Rescuers could not access the main trail, reporting it to be a waterfall itself, and much too dangerous for the rescuers to maneuver. Fire companies from Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Nesquehoning and Lehigh-Lausanne worked the rescue operation.
