A woman was injured Sunday afternoon  in a crash in Ryan township. The crash occurred on Tuscarora Mountain Road, just south of Route 54. The woman was riding on a motorcycle with her husband as they crossed a wet metal grate bridge. The bike spun out on the slippery surface sending the unit and two riders to the ground.

The woman was treated at the scene by members of the Ryan township ambulance before being transported to a local trauma center. The Hometown fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. State police at Frackville are investigating the incident. The couple were riding with a group all from Quebec, Canada.
