A Palmerton man faces a drug-related charge after police found him running in front of cars on Route 93 in Nesquehoning.
Nesquehoning police officer Tom Sabulsky was dispatched to Route 93 on May 11 for a report of a half-naked man hitchhiking and running out in front of vehicles in the area of the truck turnaround.
Upon arrival, officers observed the man, later identified as Nicholas Capaldi, 32, of Stage Coach Road, on the side of the road.
The officer patted Capaldi down to check for weapons or drugs and was told by Capaldi that he had a syringe in his pocket that was used for injecting heroin.
He was taken into custody and turned over to Pennsylvania State Police Hazleton for an active warrant.
He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
