State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents. Police did not release names of suspects.
• Police are investigating the theft of a cellphone in the 500 block of Centre Street in Parryville between noon May 1 and noon June 6. The victim is a 49-year-old man from Parryville. Police identified the suspect as a 24-year-old woman from Whitehall Township.
• An identity theft case in Polk Township is being investigated. The theft occurred on Ashley Court when someone used the a 50-year-old woman’s Social Security number to gain employment in Indiana in 2016.
• Someone smashed eight mailboxes on a post between 2 and 3:30 p.m. June 11 in a criminal mischief incident in the 100 block of Stagecoach Road East in Towamensing Township.
• Police were summoned to the 100 block of Kendall Street in Ross Township at 9:22 p.m. June 12 for a suspected burglary. Police determined no burglary had occurred, nor was there any attempt to enter the residence.
• Police are investigating the theft of about 150 gallons of gasoline from a business on Strohl’s Valley Road in Towamensing Township. The incident was reported at 1:28 a.m. June 20. The victim reported someone stole the gas from one his the tanks on his property. Police said surveillance footage of the scene was available but no suspects have been identified at this time.
• A garbage can was stolen from a residence in the 1500 block of Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township. The victim reported someone took the can between 8:45 p.m. June 19 and 7:45 a.m. June 20.
• A woman from Kunkletown reported finding a wallet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Mountain View Drive in Polk Township.

• A 40-year-old Saylorsburg man told police he believes he dropped his Samsung Galaxy 57 cellphone in a parking lot along Blue Ridge Road in Ross Township between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Wednesday. The incident is being labeled a theft of lost or mislaid property.
• A corruption of minors incident happened at 3:30 p.m. June 23 in Penn Forest Township. The victim is a juvenile who claimed to be touched by an unknown man in the 100 block of Indian Trail in the township.
• Police are investigating a scattering rubbish incident. Someone threw multiple empty cigarette packs on a property in the 300 block of Kunkletown Road in Eldred Township.
The homeowner reported the littering incident at 1:32 p.m. Tuesday.
• A traffic stop at 1:08 a.m. May 26 in the 100 block of Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township resulted in the arrest of Wayne Schneider, 21, of Effort. He showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Police said he was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
• Police were summoned on Sunday to investigate a harassment case in the 100 block of Franklin Heights Road, Franklin Township. The victim, a woman from Lehighton, reported a man from Lehighton was harassing her.
• A Gilbert man was cited for public drunkenness after an incident at 9:43 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Interchange Road in Polk Township.
Police said he was on the property of a Gilbert woman and was in an intoxicated state, yelling at the victim.
• The theft of money from a home in Weissport is being investigated by state police, who did not say whether the incident in the 300 block of Bridge Street is a burglary of theft case. The incident happened between 3 and 9:50 p.m. May 29. The victim is a 44-year-old man from the borough.
• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 7:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot area near the Lehigh River in East Penn Township. The victim, a 41-year-old Lehighton woman, reported to police that she discovered damage to the rear window of her vehicle upon returning from a bike ride.
• Two people were issued citations after state police were summoned to a domestic dispute at 3:20 p.m. June 17 at the intersection of Sam Brooke Circle and West Lizard Creek Road in East Penn Township.
Police said a 42-year-old man was cited for harassment and a 38-year-old woman was charged with disorderly conduct. Both have Lehighton addresses.
• Police are investigating a burglary that happened between 9 p.m. May 31 and 3 p.m. June 2 at a residence in Polk Township. A 46-year-old man reported someone removed electronics and jewelry from his home located in the 4000 block of Greenwood Drive.
• A regulatory checkpoint stop made by state police at 12:15 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Pohopoco and Green roads resulted in a drug possession arrest.
Police said after the vehicle was stopped at the checkpoint they detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Further investigation determined an 18-year-old Allentown man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of marijuana.
