Palmerton news for June 28, 2018

Breakfast

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Parryville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2, 359 Main St., Parryville. Large and small platters are available. Platter choices are eggs, pancakes, French toast, omelets, or SOS. Choice of meats are ham, sausage, scrapple or bacon, home fries, juice and coffee.

Saturday Night Drags

Zinc City Cycle Club will hold Saturday Night Drags on June 30. Gates open at 4 p.m. and races are from 5-10 p.m. Free to spectators and the kitchen is open. The track is located on Route 209 1 mile south of Kresgeville or 8 miles north of Lehighton. For information call 570-992-4214.

Yard sale

Blue Mountain Community Church, 25 Oak St., Palmerton will hold its annual yard sale on June 29 and 30. Call the church at 610-826-8406 for more information.

Park concert

The Sunday in the Park Concert for July 1 will be the Palmerton Band. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and are held in the Palmerton Borough Park Bandshell. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening of great music. This concert is sponsored by the Bandstand Committee.

In case of bad weather the concert will be canceled. There are no rain dates. No alcohol or smoking is permitted in the Borough Park.

Cruise Night

The Pace-Makers Association will hold its monthly Cruise Night in the Palmerton Borough Park from 6-8:30 p.m. July 6. Must be out of park by 9 p.m. Come out and enjoy some car talk.
