Tamaqua police released information on several recent incidents.
• Craig Neveu, 31, of 314 N. Elizabeth St., Tamaqua, was charged with public drunkenness after he was found dancing and bouncing off the fence in the Tamaqua Skate Park on June 20. He admitted taking heroin and methamphetamine earlier and was transported to St. Luke’s Miners Hospital in Coaldale for evaluation.
• Brian J. Morit, 35, of Frackville, was charged with harassment by communication after he repeatedly made contact with a Tamaqua woman, despite several warnings to stop. The charges were filed on June 20.
• Melissa Lauer, 48, of 225 Cedar St., Tamaqua, was charged with littering after she was seen throwing a box of trash on a neighbor’s porch. The box contained several wires, an extension cord, a sink fixture and a sock and was thrown on the porch on June 13.
• Jaide Counterman, 24, of East Broad Street, and Travis K. Christman, 26, of North Greenwood Street each received a citation for harassment by communication. Counterman contacted police at 3:52 June 13 to file a complaint against Christman. Both had been warned previously to have no contact with each other due to earlier, ongoing criminal cases. While speaking to Christman, officers learned Counterman send him multiple messages between June 4 and June 12.
