State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a residence in Pine Grove on Monday.

Troopers said Joseph Shallcross Webb IV, 42, of Palmyra, Lebanon County, has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated and simple assault, possession instruments of crime, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

Troopers said Webb is charged with shooting Albert J. Natale, 52, in the back inside at 256 S. Tulpehocken St., about 1 a.m. Natale was taken to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. A 9mm handgun was used in the shooting.

Webb was arraigned before District Judge Anthony Rossi, of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $100,000 straight cash bail.

Troopers said the incident is under investigation.
