Family lunch program

The Jim Thorpe Summer Children/Family Lunch Program will begin on Monday and run through Aug. 3., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The meal will be at served the Masonic Lodge Social Hall, Fifth and Center streets.

All children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Clothing giveaway

St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, has begun collecting new, used and clean clothing for its annual clothing giveaway.

Volunteers are needed to help fold and sort the clothing. If you wish to donate some time, contact Mary Strohl at 570-325-2294.

The giveaway will take place in August. Dates, days and times will be announced later.
