Three Times News area softball players received First Team honors on the Colonial League all-star team.

Northwestern juniors Ashley Sisco and Emily Akelaitis both were selected to the top team. Sisco was named at first base, while Akelaitis was an at-large pick. Northern Lehigh senior pitcher Kaitlin Hoffman was the third TN player chosen.

Three Palmerton players made the Second Team, as did one Northern Lehigh athlete. The Blue Bombers honored included junior outfielder Paige Shupp, and sophomores Kailah Altemose (first base) and Lexi Merkel (pitcher). The Bulldogs’ Lauren Hoffman, a sophomore, was named at second base.
