A driver was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash along Mauch Chunk Road in Palmerton.

Just after 5 p.m. the man was traveling east and lost control while cresting a hill.

His car swerved to the left, crossing the roadway and hitting an embankment then rolling numerous times. While the car was rolling the man was ejected from the vehicle.

He was treated at the scene then flown by PennStar helicopter to the St. Lukes University Health Center in Bethlehem. Palmerton police are investigating the incident.
