• Calvary Evangelical, Lewistown Valley and Zion Church of Lewistown Valley will hold a combined Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:15 p.m. June 11-15, at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle. Closing ceremonies will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This year’s theme for the youth will be “Time Lab from Answers in Genesis,” while the adult classes will have a theme of the pastor’s choosing. • Shipwrecked VBS will take place on June 11-15 at Zion’s Stone Church, West Penn Township, from 6:30 to 9:10 p.m. every day. All kids age 3 to completed fifth grade are welcome. Zion’s Stone Church is located 6 miles south of Leiby’s, just off Route 309 on Cemetery Road. Join us to discover how Jesus rescues us through life’s storms.
• Middlecreek Church on Dorshimer Road in Kresgeville will hold its Vacation Bible School, for children ages 3 through 12, June 25-29. The theme is: Shipwrecked, Rescued by Jesus. For more information call the church at 570-629-4066 or email mcchurch@ptd.net.
• Cornerstone Community Church in Kresgeville has begun its online registration for its Vacation Bible School, which will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 8-12. Call the church at 610-681-3534. The theme is Time Lab VBS. Children from age 4 to beginning sixth grade in the fall are being invited and asked to come join in discovering Jesus from eternity past to eternity future. Children will be able to enjoy inventors science and crafts, cool contests, high-voltage songs, games and snacks.
• St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown, will hold Vacation Bible School July 9-13 for children ages 3 and up. A parent or adult may stay with preschool age kids for a Mommy and Me experience. The theme is Splash Canyon by Concordia Publishing House. This promises a week of thrills and spills, as participants dive into stories such as baby Moses in the river and the baptism of Jesus.
• Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, “Splash Canyon — God’s promise on Life’s Wild Ride” Vacation Bible School, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 6-10.
