Robert Hibbler, 67, of the 100 block of Pine Street, Tamaqua, was cited for harassment on May 17 after a woman told police he pushed and struck her, causing a wound to her right hand. Hibbler denied the charges when contacted by Tamaqua Police. He was cited on information received.

Tamaqua officers were on patrol at 8:20 p.m. May 27 when they spotted Aprilynn Chomen, 28, of the 300 block of Rolling Mill Avenue, Tamaqua, in the area of the North Railroad Street parking lot. Knowing there were warrants for Chomen’s arrest, issued by two New Jersey counties, they stopped and took her into custody without incident.

She was taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville awaiting extradition.
